About Thomas Strouse
Thomas Strouse is the Founder and CEO of Strouse Energy Advisory, which he established in 2021. Prior to establishing the firm, Thomas served as Head of Market Analysis at DNO, a Norwegian oil and gas company, where he advised senior management on commercial and geopolitical developments impacting the company’s operations and investments across the Middle East region, with a particular focus on Iraq. Earlier in his career, Thomas was a Middle East oil and gas journalist with Energy Intelligence in Dubai and a Middle East analyst with Foreign Reports in Washington DC.
Thomas has two decades of experience analyzing energy markets, geopolitical developments and upstream investment opportunities across the MENA region. His recent work has focused particularly on emerging and transitioning markets, including Syria, Libya and Iraq. He is also the publisher of the Twin Oaks Energy Report, providing independent analysis and market intelligence on developments, investment opportunities and emerging trends across the international oil and gas sector.
Thomas holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from George Washington University and a B.A. in International Politics from Penn State University.
